My family drove in from Alexandria and visited Chidogo’s on Sunday, December 5. We stuffed ourselves with a “taste of Chicago” and enjoyed it greatly. Your place was very clean, the staff was very friendly and most important the food was spot on. It truly felt like we were back in Chicago. If I closed my eyes I can imagine that I was at Al’s Italian Beef or Superdawg. The five of us consumed 5 regular hot dogs, 5 french fries, 2 foot long hot dogs, 3 Italian beefs and (on the suggestion of the staff) an order of fried pickles (tasty). We walked away stuffed, happy and I was a hero to the wife and kids for bringing them to Chidogo’s. We moved from Chicago 16 months ago, and have missed our Chicago hot dogs and Italian beefs. Thank you for filling that void in our stomachs and our hearts. Chidogo’s will be a regular stop for our family.
As a resident of DC for 4 years and a Chicagoan at heart, the search for authentic, quality, true-blue Chicago style hot dogs and Italian beef has always been on. It is hugely exciting to think about my DC neighbors and friends falling in love wtith the finest foods from Chicago!
